A Little About Humburg House of Girls...

I am a United States Navy Wife, Mom to 2 girls Adleigh (5 yrs) and Ashlee (2yrs end of this month). I am a SAHM with a passion for photography, cake decorating, and creating crafty things. I love my life........ even when things get a little hectic!

Oh, the joys....

Hi, well we (I) am trying to potty train Ashlee even more now than ever, but today it seems like she is working hard to say, "No way Mommy, I'm staying in pull-ups!" I have used pull-ups that don't work, and am currently trying to use cotton training pants which means more laundry for me.... oh the joys of being a mommy.
Adleigh and I had our annual eye appointment yesterday in which I was informed that my beautiful 5 year old is growing up and maturing even faster than I want her to. Why can't they just stay little forever!! Adleigh's eyes were about the same however her weaker eye did change in the prescription strength for the better!! She has 3 loose teeth and has lost one already with the permanent one already halfway in. It seems like every day that I look at her she's grown another few inches!
As most of you reading this know I found out I was pregnant in January 2011 and on February 11,2011 I endured a pretty tough thing that our family never thought would happen I miscarried. It has been a tough few weeks since then off and on.It seems everyone I know is having babies and I just want to hold them and love them. I have found that I want another little baby even more now than I did before. Don't get me wrong I wanted that baby, but for some reason god needed it more.
Life at the Humburg house seems a little hectic at times right now, with daddy being gone more than normal it's not uncommon for him to come home with under 30 minutes to spend with the girls before bed time at 8:30pm, Ashlee gets tubes in her ears March 14th just 10 days before my baby turns 2 (we are hopeful that this will not only help her ear infections, but help her to hear to speak more),I am trying to figure out what type of cake to make for her birthday also, and it turns out we will not be able to come home this summer as Daddy has a lot of in and out work to do so we will stay here and hold down the fort.
I have thrown myself into pursuing photography I have always had a passion for it before, but figure now with so many of my friend's hubby's are heading to Iraq and on deployments it seems even more valuable to have beautiful photographs of our family, and to help others to create those lasting memories. I am hopeful that this may prove to be a positive endeavor for me and help me grow. If anyone knows of anyone wanting or needing photos taken  in our area I would be happy to take some for them and provide a CD of the images and if they would like some professional prints (at my cost for the prints). Well, I have so much to do right now that I am not doing I must bid you all good bye until the next time.....
